If anyone needed Fitzy as a coach it was the Dragons. Fitzy came from a very no nonsense Roosters system . Good for roster building long term. But I think Flanno will be there for years . He sort of suits the place.

As far as I know Fitz was offered the Dragons gig, he didn't take it because he did not like the structures and pathways they had in place. They hired Hook and see what happened, he bought a helluva lot of players that did nothing for them, and he subsequently got sacked.
That was the primary reason why Fitz chose the Sharks, he did like the structures and pathways the club had in place already.

Flange does suit them, his biggest problem will be their upper management and if they deem this year a "success". If they keep their good players on the park they won't be that bad, if they get a few bad injuries to their main players they could be in trouble, in turn that could be a problem for him.
They definitely need his hard edged approach, and to back him.

Fitz turned down the Goons cause they’re a shit-hole of a club with a shambles of management. Ironically he lives in their heart-land which you’d think would make it a no brainer. They now have Flanno…. while he’s passionate and I’m grateful for his efforts at the Sharks….he’s nothing on Fitz.
