He was signed to the Panthers until 2007, and we released him from his contract early. Our official reasoning was that we had to release him due to the salary cap.

I highly doubt he would ever consider coming back to the Panthers though. There was a lot more to the story then salary cap pressure. Although he did love this club and the reason behind us releasing him in the first place is no longer a factor.

I would still imagine that there is bad blood between us.

wrong ben ross was contracted to penrith he asked for a release and was granted one.Penrith had to seperate Ross and Clinton due to fights at training that was not doing the team any good.Ben asking for a release helped so he was granted one

I thought he was always coming back after a couple of years, cant find a direct quote anywhere but Im pretty sure he come out and said something along those lines. Then again, that was before he made SOO so things might have changed.
