Apparently Hino signed today.. surely the Sharks have exhausted their cap now? I mean Luke Lewis, Chris Heighington, Michael Gordon, Beau Ryan, Jonathan Wright are decent signings to say the least. They also have re-signed a few players. I guess there still has to be confirmation on the Tigers players they scooped recently but I'd like to see how they are going as far as their cap is concerned. I don't think they've broken it BTW, just utilized it incredibly well and efficiently. But it does make you wonder just how many of the players in their ranks have 3rd party deals. I'd assume at the moment only Gallen would have it.

We haven't spent our full salary cap in a very long time.

Now we finally can.

Also Jeremy Smith to Newcastle,Colin Best retired and John Williams not likely to get a new deal.

Once again bloody good recruitment by Flanno.

Sharks have definately ironed out the crinks in the squad, not a alot of weakenesses there. Prediciting a few times Gordon will be in the clear straight up the middle from Gallen offload.

Sharks signings arent much if you ask me, certainly wont be the difference between 8th and top 4.

Apart from Luke Lewis but who knows how many games you'll get each year from him.

Gordon is a top signing for them.

He is , but even taking into account my lack of objectivity you'd have to be pretty concerned about his recent run of injuries.

He's almost 30 and has had some shocking leg injuries in the last few years.

Likely why the panthers didnt fight hard to keep him.

So is Heighno, they are offering long contracts to old blokes, and backending them,so they are gambling on winning a comp in the next 3 years.

Please provide evidence that they are back ending contracts as you claim.

I suggest not claiming something you know nothing about.

Current team significantly under the existing Cap, Cap rising, Williams gone, best gone, Jez going. Add it all up and guess what, we more than likely neither need to back end and still have enough for one more very good quality signing in the backs.

By the way, pfft on the old blokes comment. So f**king what if they want to give the comp a real shake. Is that nt the point of competition?

Only to step on a blade of grass an inch longer than the rest of the field and break his leg or ankle.

FOR a kid yet to debut, plenty has been written about young Eel Albert Kelly - first cousin of Storm superstar Greg Inglis.

One reason Parramatta are chasing Craig Wing is because they can't compete with offers for the 18-year-old.

The Storm were in the frame, but Wests Tigers blew the field apart with an offer close to $150,000-a-season.

Parramatta officials are also reluctant to re-sign Kelly because of discipline concerns.

The teenager recently spat the dummy at Eels Toyota Cup coach David Fairleigh after being dropped to the bench.

In other news at Parramatta, Nathan Cayless could be headed for a Brett Finch-style showdown.

We keep hearing the Kiwi front-rower is on the outer and chatter will intensify with Justin Poore and Shane Shackleton signed up.

Cayless, however, has a deal. So expect him to stand firm - unless an offer matching his Eels contract comes along.

It was reported that he ended up signing with Cronulla for just over 200k (cbf finding the link) and was re-signed last year http://news.smh.com.au/breaking-news-sport/cronulla-resign-kelly-until-2014-20110516-1ephz.html and it is hard to imagine he took a paycut given he had Souths chasing him and was looking very promising for us at 6.
