Like most of these sorts of articles and speculation, the truth is probably somewhere in the middle....

Penrith to Bondi = ~80 km's.... Penrith to Parrmatta = ~38km Bondi to Parramatta = ~43km

I don't think the lurker is actually a person. It's a group of writers for sportal who scan Internet forums looking for rumours. In the latest instalment 'the lurker' is answering questions tweeted in. In one tweet he says Brenton Lawrence is going to penrith, than in another to Melbourne.

Indeed it does. It often winds up being a condition of the player agreeing to a release which the club who had then under contract instigates. Mainly because at this late stage of the season it is the only way he would be on a comparative wage in 2016 considering the salary cap limits of most clubs at this time of the year.

He has signed with Manly for 2017 (from what I hear).

Not too many clubs are going to pick him up for 1 season.

Only choice is to back out of the Manly deal inside the 10 days and take his chances or Souffs will rethink again and let him go.

There was a contract stuff up, but it will be sorted out soon. He's happy at the Titans & will be playing for them in 2016

I dont see the point in keeping Grevsmuhl,Olive,Walker and McQueen if they are all leaving the year after.It cannot possibly be good to have 4 players thinking about playing for another team all season,imo.
