Yeh he isn't naturally gifte and had to work to get an NRl spot so he appreciates it more than some that are just naturally built for the game

I don't think Keating is getting the arse because of his attitude. It would be because of lack of ability.

Yes I think I read it in a statement when Loko was re-signed and there was news about his sister and Peni.

Why not? Plenty of other players are signed up based on a few good games or a golden patch. If he or others play better than ever from now on how is that a bad thing, regardless of their motivation?

Because so far their attitude hasn't shown goodwill or ambition to perform better even for the betterment of themselves let alone the club. Finally their meal ticket is in danger and they pull their thumbs out. Based on the 'goodwill/equity/badwill' the players have built up while contracted here, the amount of leverage the club should demand in any future contract would make it almost unsignable on the players' side.
