Negative, the bloke that we were enquiring about was the norths hooker who's first name is Apeseli.. The kid is behind Peats and Luke.

I'm not sure progress if any is made on that but I'm sure they're on top of it given the limited choices on the market

I would say it's too small a sample size but you merkins proved that theory wrong, so we have to take the results on face value.

We have struggled since ParraFirst took power. We were on a one game winning streak before they were in charge.

Exactly. But the problems in the team are nothing to do with tactics, and everything to do with talent (including leadership).

At least we have a structure in place to improve the talent coming into the team, because a club as weak as ours can only attract established talent through paying overs - we could have signed Tamou and Papalii for another $100k or so, but why should we have to when it will only hurt us under the cap?

That leads to a vicious circle which can only be stopped through shrewd buys and internal recruitment and development.

As for leadership, I fear we won't get any at the club until we buy some. Hopefully strong characters like Hopoate and the Poms (and maybe Norman) can give us that. Maybe even Lussick will step up once he is comfortable in the player group. I also think Pewhairangi is being shown some persistence because of his ability as a leader, but leadership is no use without talent, so I hope Api becomes a first grader.
