. Under NRL rules, Norman has until round 13 to rescind his three-year Parramatta deal, but said yesterday he was committed to helping Sandow break the Eels' 27-year title hoodoo.
For the moment the pair remain NRL rivals, and Norman insists he will be driven in Saturday's round 9 match by firing for the Broncos - not impressing Parramatta coach Ricky Stuart.
"I know he (Stuart) will be watching, but next year is ages away," Norman said.
Broncos put in an SOS call to Hodgo
"I've made my decision. Parra really isn't in my head at the moment. I'm still in Brisbane and my mind is here, I just want to finish well for the Broncos and hopefully I do well against Parra this week."
A Norman-Sandow pairing could be Parramatta's most dominant scrumbase union since Brett Kenny and Peter Sterling engineered the last of the club's four premierships in 1986. Such has been Parramatta's drought, Norman was not even born then.
But Eels halfback Sandow said Norman would not regret his decision to join the struggling club.
"It's a young team, we're building for the future and I really think Corey will be the right fit," Sandow said.
"With him coming here, it will give the boys in this club confidence.
"But that's next year ... hopefully he doesn't play too well against us this week."
Norman said the Broncos could not afford to be complacent after receiving a reality check in their 26-12 home loss to the South Sydney Rabbitohs last Friday night.
