I'd he leaves Newy for anyone except Parra it's another big fail early for Rylesy IMO.

He's not a gun by any means but to be desperate for a 9, courting him all off season and then lose out to the fking Raiders would be an epic fail and also peak Parra

I can’t seeing being a Ryles issue .Would believe it’s the super HOF who has been presiding over recruitment for 6/7 years. Certainly saw off his peers when he agreed to all those options in contracts, that showed them.

Confident he works hard, perhaps smarter rather than harder would be better and the CeO needs to be under the microscope too. The failure to recruit competent replacement players after 2022 when 7 left is an issue which has been festering , better this year but so many extensions and re signings that are hampering the top 30.

Nah it was all BAs fault before so why would it now be MON?

That may be what a multitude of posters believe , personally I see it as a failure of the R&R team mainly to not understand the needs etc and steer signing the right way. Just my opinion, and it’s doesn’t mean much I guess in the grand scheme of things

Honestly how many players have the Raiders signed from the Knights now? It’s almost got to be a third of their top 30.

Brails will do a good job for them though. He’s a decent player affected by a few awful injuries. Would have liked to have kept him but we have too much cap space tied up at hooker and Crossland’s not off contract.

I don't disagree too much and wasn't specifically aiming at you, but it's also been quite funny watching a large number of posters tie themselves in knots to change their own anti BA logic after yesterday

I don't believe recruiting all our discards is a recipe for success, they are free to them. I'd have Tapine back, though.

Dylan brown to knights on 10yr deal lol

he couldn’t do anything at Parra he ain’t gonna be making the finals at the knights with their sh*t roster

and with the off field issues brown has been charged with before Newcastle should be the last place he wants to go

At least the Newy night life stinks these days, should prevent him from being suspended.

The town really fell off when Fannys closed.

Hopefully he does his knee again and f**ks the knights cap for the next 10years

You know what I was so so on this signing but seeing the collective butt hurt from the Eels fans has made me pretty happy about it.

The amount of cope on the Parra forum about this Brown deal being all but announced is hilarious. Highly recommended reading

Like, suddenly Volkman (who they all shit on to death yesterday), Dean Hawkins and 21 year old, yet-to-even-debut Apa Twidle are better players and we're better off without Brown as of immediately.

Truth of it is he's a very good player and more than that, it's a signing that for me just about signals a few years of spoon town. Brown himself is not the loss that will make that happen of course, bit my big worry with the absolute clownshow way we handled the BA sacking and the search for a new coach signalled a return to the bad old front office days and I've felt that through the signing of Ryles and JAC, the offloading of Gutho and RCG, and now this.

Good get for Newy but that deal is horrific, can't blame DylBro for signing it as fast as he could.

Pretty much any club where a player that came through the juniors and was looked after in difficult times and often spoke about his loyalty to the club , leaves. Of course it’s a business etc, don’t believe the butt hurt you seem to rejoice in would be different at any club given Dylan’s background at the club. His family was even assisted in coming over from NZ and settling down etc, tough but life goes on .
