Crichton --> Roosters 2019
All that cap space freed up from releasing Paul Carter and Liam Knight.

Funny how all these rumors are flying around about Angus when he's under contract for 2018 and, by law, rival clubs aren't allowed to approach him until November...
Everything that's wrong with the game. Now there will be unwanted speculation for Souths fans knowing that they might be losing one of their best a year in advance
Needs a transfer period badly.

"All these rumours"? Only place I've heard it was here with Tommy Smith's post. Have not seen it anywhere else![]()

If I'm honest, I reckon Souths will get the deal done. We have a major ace up our sleeve in that he's contracted for 2018 and so any deal we do with him will probably see a big salary boost for him next year as well. If he ships off to another club he won't see the big money until 2019.
Still, if I'm his manager I'm shopping him around to see whats out there.
It just shits me that the rules clearly state that you can't approach a player under contract for 2018 until November 2017 and yet here we see rumors about approaches being made already.
Sad thing is that even if a transfer window is introduced, you know that deals will still be done outside it.
You just answered yourself. Yes clubs can not approach a player until November, but there is nothing stopping a manager notifying clubs.
Tigers have just been through a crap year kicked off with a super dose of this rubbish, but there is no answer. You can bring in whatever time periods you want, transfer windows, deadlines (remember the old June 30 deadline?) and it will make no difference, its a free capital market and people will try to better themselves. We just have to suck it up. Of course well run and successful clubs will always have a headstart keeping players happy and therefore keeping plyers at the club but for the rest of us, it will always be a problem.
Why the f**k would they want brailey? At this stage he's not an upgrade.It's just bullshit lol. First Tedesco now Crichton they'll probably get brailey next.
There's another rumor doing the rounds that Angus and his manager met with Flanno and the Sharks yesterday for a discussion.
Josh Massoud and Liam cox are reporting the same thing as well. Apparently roosters are confident they've locked him up...

"Confident they'll get him"
Roosters 9/10 times get the player they want with uncle nicko flashing his cash

There's a long way to go yet before brailey makes his potential. He may very well get there, but it'd be a massive gamble, Especially when they're captain is still in great form.Brailey is definitely the next big thing. If he keeps progressing like he has he'll be the next NSW hooker.

Btw. Sorry for being rude. I thought you were someone else.
