- Bevan French is no sure thing anymore. Wigan are doing everything they can to keep him including offering substantially more money than the Knights are.
- Doesn't think Kai Pearce-Paul or Will Pryce will be able to get out of their deals for next year at this stage, but acknowledges those things can change pretty quickly.

There was an article a few weeks ago that said the Knights were shopping him around to other clubs, same article that linked Gagai to the Dolphins

There was a completely unverified rumour on Manly's forum that they were in discussions with the Knights to get Best as well, even before the Garrick rumours started

It's such a pity Clifford needs meds to play. If the NRL can make an exception for the lad it would be great. He is a right sided player and definitely has the highest ceiling.

I thought I read somewhere he needs to play to his best but those pills are on ban list by the NRL...

Its remarkable how we let talented players go that we can’t get the best out of, only to replace them with lesser players who we’ll also not be able to get anything out of.

I think this is sort of a problem with Rugby League in general tbh. Players get labelled as the next big thing (e.g. Bradman Best) then clubs expect them to basically hit that elite level within a couple of years of making their debut and if they don’t then the club is trying to move them on. Yeah I know we’re all frustrated about a player like Best not developing as quickly as we’d like but the guy has had a bunch of injuries which has prevented him from actually playing a full season then there’s the fact that the team around him is terrible and he isn’t being used properly. I’d rather we hold him until the end of this contract before making any decision to move him on.
