So let’s say the Garrick thing doesn’t eventuate (which is highly possible) I’m going to throw a name out there who we should look at for fullback. Blake Taafe.

He’s played some first grade at Souths since last year and has looked pretty good but his long term path to the NRL is blocked by Latrell being in front of him. I can’t see him staying there much longer tbh. He came in during the finals series last year and didn’t look out of place and importantly he’s a goal kicker too.

I don’t have any intel on this but just thought it’d be worth mentioning.

great idea but we have wasted all of our roster slots signing shit halves

If we have cap space can we pay out the contract of a player for 2023 and release him and would we then have space to buy someone else

It was. But it was also a reserve grade game.
I’ll take it. Not sure Clune even gets reserve grade man of the matches.

Anyway we all need to temper our expectations of halves for 2023 and realize nothing special is happening for us in the next 12 months.

so on the weekend, was Gamble the organising half for them and could you see if he was following a game plan and executing it?

I ask as we know he is coming next season and we desperately need a halfback that can organise the team and follow the game plan. Could he do that job for us next season? Clune and Clifford have proven they are not capable of doing it

I know he's not the best option, but given what's available and what we have in the halves, he's our best option currently, depressing as it is

Unfortunately no mate. Tyrone Roberts did the organising while Tyson was more of an off the cuff type
