I love Bradman, hes an obvious talent but he still has plenty of holes in his game and id not want to pay big overs to keep him and screw our cap (further). His defence in particular needs work still

Guys like Tago, Timoko, Penisini and even a guy like Connor Tracey offer far better value

I honestly think Bradman should be counting himself lucky hes on a deal as high as hes on right now.
Did you watch Tracey play on the weekend? There’s a reason he hasn’t got a regular starting spot.

Yeah he had a bad game no doubt but the entire Sharks team is in the same boat so its difficult to justify pointing to that one game and saying hes not up to 1st grade.

Hes played far more great games than bad, against us he absolutely gave Gagai a bath for example and Ive seen plenty of awful games from Bradman too which was my point

As well as he is playing, it must not be lost sight of, the fact he is a centre and the 700 k we are supposedly giving him is more than enough. Origin or no Origin.

I agree we need to stick to our guns and say we've been this good to you up to this point and you're still one of the best paid centres. If you leave for more then so be it.

He also needs to consider that Ponga has given him some good ball in space this year. He might not get that elsewhere.

Ponga is finally playing like someone where you can attract players and say you now get to play with Ponga and this is how he elevates your game, which was probably missing from him the past couple of years.

He's been fed some of the best ball in the comp this year with Kalyn and Walker at Origin level too. You're in a pretty good spot being outside either of them on a left edge.

I'm going to go glass half full and say we offered what they're worth (nothing) so they decided to stick with their current teams.

Think it's only the two english blokes that are new additions for 2024 from outside the club thus far.

Not offering overs for mediocre players isn’t very Knights-like. Hopefully Parr is finally sorting us out.

Very interested to see where we play Will Pryce. His SL form hasn’t seemed the best this year and it will be a big ask for him to come in round 1 as the 6. I say he’ll probably start the year in Cup…or I wouldn’t be against slotting him in on the wing to ease in but if we see him as a long term 6 he’d probably be better developing his game there in cup.
Then we have Miller…

True. I still think he has something special about him though you cannot coach. A game turner. Do not rate his ESL coach. I once did but have since come to a realisation he is rather deluded about himself. An excuse maker and has a strong squad he cannot get going. His default excuse is about them not buying in. Ian Watson has a less than stellar coaching record. He made a GF solely cos Jacko went to England and tore it up.

To be fair, the making excuses could also be applied to our coach sometimes.

Pryce has definitely got talent. I like that he has both a left and right step. Still definitely very raw though and we’re going to need to put in a lot of work with him. I wonder if he signed up being told he’d be playing fullback…

He could do very well as a running 5/8 with time…not sure where that leaves Gamble though. I just love that bloke. Definitely not super skillful but his enthusiasm is very valuable.
