I've no doubt we would be better with Brailey playing, but I think Crossland is a chance simply because Brailey can't stay healthy.

It's a great headache to have though. Who would've thought we would be considering that at the start of the year? Lol
I don't think it's a headache as it stands right now, Phoenix still has a lot to prove, but he's gone beyond what I thought him capable of so i'll reserve judgement at this stage. He's not holding us back right now and that's the important thing.

Not sure why we’re still looking at Sullivan. AOB has an obsession at this point of getting halves and trying to fit them all in somewhere.

Can only assume scarcity mindset. It’s like we went without any decent halves for so long that now we just want to keep collecting them incase we’re going to run out.

Not sold on Crossland yet. However, given we still have Brails on the books you need to have Crossland in the team cause you just know Brails cant last a full season and Crosslands proabably the best back up hooker you can get.

Brailey has made a tidy sum
doing bugger all except work with physios and sports scientists for three seasons. Not his fault, but it is no longer viable( from a cap perspective) we keep him with Phoenix’ quite remarkable form. Some of his support play And tidy up work rivals the best in the game. Brails is a top 9. But we have bigger issues coming up, and losing out on players we need over carrying an injury prone dummy half on good dollars, is where top clubs would get ruthless.

I think we're all getting a little carried away with Phoenix's form vs some terrible teams. He's improved out of sight but jesus.... he's a back up. He doesn't hold a candle to Brailey with the ball in hand.
Agreed Brailey is a much better player but the best game Crossland has played for us was against the Storm 2 weeks ago. Hardly a terrible team.

Love to keep Crossland in the team but he has to be 14. Brailey is an excellent 9, great leader and will be burning up inside. Brailey looks like the kind of guy who would take a pay cut and stay around to pay back the team for sticking by him while he was injured.

The worst thing about Brailey is he got struck with the Knights recruit curse. Guy barely missed a game for Cronulla and then has had 3 major injuries since arriving. I don't see him as injury prone (I think of that as more of the soft tissue kind of injuries) but it's reassuring knowing Crossland can do the trick. I think realistically as harsh as it is, he should be NSW Cup 9 next year. Pryce or Gamble make a better 14.
