Rumoured Targets 3

We were definitely chasing TPJ.
You seem like a semi good bloke No Name 69 but you’re always wrong and try to backtrack once we don’t end up signing the player.

Okay Sean let’s spell it out. Knights were told at least 2 months ago by TPJ’s manager Isaac Moses not to pursue it because he is definitely staying in Brisbane because of Bennett. Knights think he has signed deal already but not being announced because club needs to move players https://t.co/c45PW2AujV
— Barry Toohey (@BarryToohey) July 17, 2018

Lol “we”

But well done wasting your time when I was referring to our current interest. I know we showed some interest initially but that was months and months ago. I don’t think it’s been confirmed he’s a current target.

Again what about a source to back up your claim that TPJ doesn’t like Brown or that they’ve even met before? Bullshit as usual I see hahahaha - I guess you need to make things up to try and feed all your weird agendas lol

He may be utilising his counselling service as we type! Building the courage to jump back into the fray.

He's gone all cold shoulder over our players who can't tackle which is a massive shift in his psych.

Maybe we have taught him a thing or two about decent defence since he migrated here?

Are we linked with Klemmer or is it just an article stating the obvious? Wouldn't every other NRL not the Bulldogs want Klemmer?

If we have Klemmer and both the Saifiti twins fit rotating with Glasby most games, fit and firing. That'll do me. Klemmer is such a big name and unit, he alone will turn our pack around.

1. Ponga
2. SKD
3. Sione
4. Raimen
5. Lee

6. Watson
7. Pearce

8. Klemmer
9. Levi
10. One Saifiti
11. Fitzy
12. Gurrera
13. Ese'ese

14. Bhurher
15. Two Saifiti
16. Glasby
17. Barnett

We get this team out 80% of games next season, we will be pushing top four easy.

To be honest I think the only reason so many of us were so gung-ho about singing TPJ was because we saw him as our only realistic shot of signing a big, impactful prop as we have an incredibly difficult time signing props and he has connections to the club.

Saying that though the more I think about it I acrually think he’s even more unlikely given he’s spent the last few years surrounded by blokes that put us down even publicly...I think the club have recognised that too and moved on from that idea really quickly and I’m happy to see them focusing on Klemmer even if we’re only a very small chance.
I want Saints to sign Pangai Junior. I even started a thread about it on our forum very early in the season. I think he is one of the best young forwards in the game and will be one of the best forwards in the game over then next 9 years or so. He is big, mobile, can ball play, looks tough, looks like he can play big minutes, which will suit a reduced interchange and can play middle or on the edge. I think he would be the best signing that Saints could make right now. I also think Haas looks like a great prospect too.

Pangai is Brisbane's best player imo. If Haas is getting 550K a season hen they'll be forking out a shite load more for Tevita. They can't let him go.

People think the Roosters are rorting....... Brisbane seem to have found a new Andrew Gee all of a sudden.

I think Tariq has been the form secondrower in the comp this year.

It kills me to say it, but he is definitely up there. I'm still at a loss as to why he was such a dud in Newcastle. Was it Browns coaching? Was it a poor team culture that rubbed off on him? Was he carrying an injury? When he was with us he had next to no creativity and played the game in 3rd gear.

On Korbin - he played fantastic for the Knights for half a season. I think it was 2014, possibly the 2015 season. Outside of that, he was mediocre at best.

If both of the Saifiti boys go up another level next year and we sign Klemmer, then we are in a sensational position next year. Having 3 massive bodies in Klemmer and the Saifitis would be epic. Not to mention having the metre eating ability of Ese'ese also... Throw in Glasby and the team has outstanding go forward in the forwards. Plus we'd have SKD and Moga (hopefully) who are terrific at getting over the advantage line. If everything fell in to place, then players like Ponga, Pearce, Watson, Levi and Ramien will have a field day.

The Klemmer signing combined with Dan Saifiti's current form would give me so much optimism!!!

From my recollection Korbin was starting to get pretty soft under Bennett and Stone, well before Brown came on the scene and didn't seem to give a $h!t after that.

Tariq was signed before Bennett left but didn't start for us until Stone took over in 2015 and followed his brother pretty quickly to putting in zero effort, which is why Brownie moved them on.

I remember the merkins getting flogged at home several times and then laughing and joking with the opposition 10 seconds after the full time siren...

As much as he had his flaws technically, you could never fault the passion and will to put in that Dane brought...but those 2 I wouldn't p!$$ on if they were on fire, especially after Korbin's 'salute' towards the fans on the southern hill after he scored on his first game back at the stadium

Neither if them are leaders and are proven to have brain fades ie Tariq in Origin 3 after years and years of waiting for a shot. He comes up with a play the former NSW forwards who were punted for this year's series would have come up with ie Fifita or Graham etc

Go figure?????

He's not getting 550k, it's a back ended contract where he will earn the bulk of that figure towards the back end of the deal

Just reported on the footy show, Tevita has said he is going nowhere

TPJ waiting until his contract with his current manager expires to sign a new deal at Brisbane.

Dogs CEO confirmed again that klemmer and Josh Jackson are untouchable, not going anywhere.
