Agreed 100%.Genuine question- If his last name wasn’t Sailor, would there be any interest in him?

nepotism is rife in rugba league and not just at club level with some highly dubious selections at rep level included.Genuine question- If his last name wasn’t Sailor, would there be any interest in him?
Whatever happened to his talent is forever a mystery. As I recall he was once a Very good player. He can not tackle.
Therefore, he can not play rugby league.
He was never really good, all through his Jnrs his teams won by 30-40+ each week, so he never really learned how to tackle properly.Whatever happened to his talent is forever a mystery. As I recall he was once a Very good player.

From what I've heard we offered him a train and trial, it is what it is but I think the lesson to be learnt here is there are some players and in particular playmakers that develop a bit later. I've listened to a few podcast and spoke to a few ex players and in my opinion the way a lot of halves are coached in juniors is very detrimental to their development, it's very structured and players are often overcoached which kills their natural flair and instinctiveness. If you look at a lot of the better playmakers of the modern era like JT, Cronk, Keary, Dylan Walker, DCE, Maloney, etc none of them came through the traditional path of Harold Mats, Sg Ball, Australian schoolboys, etc most of them were signed abit later to NRL teams and didn't have the instinctiveness and flair coached out of them at a young ageAccording to Toohey, we were very keen on Jamal Fogarty in the off-season, with McKinnon bringing him down to tour the club etc. Decided not to sign him as AoB had only been at the club for a week or two and wanted him to get a chance to see what we already had before signing anyone else.
The game certainly has changed and the product is hardly recognizable from what it was. From what I've heard we offered him a train and trial, it is what it is but I think the lesson to be learnt here is there are some players and in particular playmakers that develop a bit later. I flat out refuse to believe the club wont do something about our dire halves situation. At this point in time I'd be happy with a 1 eyed hooker with a club foot than go another season with what we have.Sign Marshall... just do it.
It's the $ situation that's the issue.I flat out refuse to believe the club wont do something about our dire halves situation. At this point in time I'd be happy with a 1 eyed hooker with a club foot than go another season with what we have.
It's been said theyre after a prop to replace Herman ( promote Psami instead ) , didnt Glasby have a year to go as well ? ( promote King ) dont resign Watson ( he's our Kieran Foran )It's the $ situation that's the issue.
Pearce won't go next year. Rumours are he'll be offered one more year. It's been said theyre after a prop to replace Herman ( promote Psami instead ) , didnt Glasby have a year to go as well ? ( promote King ) dont resign Watson ( he's our Kieran Foran )
Surely they could scrape some money together ?
The other alternative is to face the harsh reality and tell Pearce he's free to look elsewhere. It'll seriously do my head in if they extend the bloke.
Maybe we just have to suck it for another year and go hard for 2022

Joey on nine saying he would reduce number of players on field to 12....thrn eventually 11......makes a lot of sense.
Less people on the field means less 3 man tackles.... Means less injuries
