I mean look that's a really high bar obviously but he was very highly rated over there, if he can be half as good I'd take that

First time posting, I'll be honest only jumped on the Knights boards as I have a keen interest in Hodgson, really looking forward to seeing him play in the NRL. For what it's worth my answer to your question is, yes, without doubt. He's a freak.

Well it barely feels like a rumour at this point - we will have Lodge and Clifford here.

After initial concerns I do feel a bit of excitement about getting Lodge now. I hope he brings out the best in our forwards just by sheer competition of positions in the 17.

Can't wait for Clifford and Ponga's first game together too.

Knights official website has just run an article on him saying that he is almost ready for first grade and can play centre

They (well, at least the digital team) must see Best and Hodgson as our first choice centres

I am a regular on here, I see all the little ribbings Matt Lodge cops from opposition fans, it's just fascinating how willing some of you are to accept him into your club on the basis that he will be coming in at a great price and given some of the quality footy he has been playing, seemingly willing to forget the criminal activities he took out on that poor family

People are well within their rights to hand in their memberships and stop following the team if they feel strongly enough about it. I'm about 20 years removed from looking up to players as any sort of role models.

If he gets here and starts playing up again it's a problem. As it stands he's been back in the game for close to half a decade and hasn't put a foot wrong.

Not a fan of Lodge on any level really, he'd have to have a JWH circa 2018 level influence on the field and have a Preston Campbell level influence off the field to win me over

Exactly. The dopes in the Knights office, whether it's Obrien, Zammit, McKinnon or anyone else are falling for a simple con that this is somehow a good deal. We're buying someone else's mistake.
