I really don't like Elliott but I guess he is on par or a slight upgrade on the likes of Fitzgibbon.

Him replacing Barnett is giving me flashbacks of when we got Reynoldson to replace Ben Kennedy. Dramatic but I hope point is taken anyway.

Let's see how he pans out for the Sharks during this contract. My guess is not very well.

Hannah’s little sister Jesse will be eligible to play now too and is going to be a superstar. Rumoured we’ll get Olivia Higgins and Olivia Kernick from the Roosters as well.

Could legitimately go from dead last to premiers in one offseason.

Doubt he’s signed to play hooker at all but Elliot has been surprisingly decent in that role. Better than Randall at least.

People are acting like Elliott is a straight swap for Barnett but I imagine we wouldn’t be paying as much for Elliott as we were for Barnett anyway. Barnett reportedly got a bigger offer from the Warriors so I’m glad we didn’t try throwing the kitchen sink to keep him. He’s a good member of the squad but we’ve already seen his best and I don’t think he’s on an upward trajectory from here at this stage of his career. Elliott wouldn’t cost much and would provide some value imo. It all comes down to value for money at the end of the day.
