The article also reminds us that the 2 English fellas arnt off contract till 2024……pretty much means 2023 is also a write off
I think the club would be very wise to try to sign Milford for 2023 if they can possibly do it. He is a class above. He lost his way in Brisbane. But he and Brooks are in the same boat. Brooks goes to 6 and is now playing very well. It’s psychological for these talents. The change could be the trigger. All true….we just need to start some signings….at the moment for 2023 we are loosing Barnett, technically loosing Milford and potentially loosing Frizell if he doesn’t use his player option and have not gained anyone
Barnett plus the below https://www.zerotackle.com/rugby-league/player-movements/All true….we just need to start some signings….at the moment for 2023 we are loosing Barnett, technically loosing Milford and potentially loosing Frizell if he doesn’t use his player option and have not gained anyone
OFF CONTRACT 2022 Phoenix Crossland, Tex Hoy, Edrick Lee, Dylan Lucas, Anthony Milford, Jirah Momoisea, Brayden Musgrove, Jason Purcell, Simi Sasagi, Pasami Saulo, Sauaso Sue |
Pryce is a fullback or 5/8, definitely not an organising or "alpha" half. Clifford can certainly step up to that role though. If Nicho Hynes can than he can tooNah, pay transfer fee.
Will Pryce recently sent off and banned for 10 games for a shocking dangerous throw/spear tackle. Check the tackle on youtube. It's a shocker.
Is Will Pryce a game controlling half that we need? Or are we relying on Clifford to step in to that role?
agree, but the rest can pretty much go. Jirah Momoisea would want to show something soon, 24 this year and hardly bashing down the door.Like to see us keep a few of those players, especially Lucas, Sasagi & Purcell, they are young and have shown some potential
I think I'd read when Brown signed Mann it was for 550K a season.Ah, 700k? Isn't Mann or Crossland on that much at our club? Get on the phone NOW!
To be fair no one really wants Fitz and Hoy but management completely screwed uo in the off season by failing to build a strong squad and those players are a better alternative to other players no one wanted. People wanted Hoy when Clune was out because Crossland was the alternative who no other team wanted ( just like Hoy, Mann, Fitz, johns, Saulo, etc). It’s funny how injuries change your views on players, Fitz for example most don’t like but if he was fit now they would love to have him play. Hoy, most hate him or at least don’t like him but at the moment he is seen as a good backup. Thompson most see as a bit new and raw to league but injuries have many wishing him to play up front or even 2nd row. Then we have the other views, Sasagi, totally untried but let’s give him a go cause he is seen as better option, forget he may be played early in a weak side and never recover.
Discussion has been on who can we get for next season, even considering players on contract for another season or two yet we hate that Barnett may go early for next season.
We can’t make our mind up if we need a 6 or a 7, find a 6 and drop Clune, move Clifford to 7 or find a 7 and leave Clifford at 6.
Then we blame management for not signing the right players in the right places but no matter what we reserve the right to complain about it all
It is so good to be a Knights supporter.
which seems to be AOB , he mentioned when he came to the club he was happy with the roster and we had the team to win ( big surprise to me )Last year we finished 8th but were a long way away from the genuine contenders, most teams in that situation would move heaven and earth to get better whilst we pretty much kept things the same and only recruited a 31 year old centre and 2 reserve graders.
What's more damning than that is that the squad has gotten worse since then.which seems to be AOB , he mentioned when he came to the club he was happy with the roster and we had the team to win ( big surprise to me )
I’d rather Bellamy in the Bellamy role.Any chance we can get Bellemy here in the Phil Gould role?
