Toohey seems to indicate that Kai Pearce-Paul will be here next year but Will Pryce still looking like 2024 at this stage.
Ian Watson, the Huddersfield coach, has them looking like a potential title threat in the next 12 months. A lot of that is the fact Will Pryce is often the difference in tight games. He’d be very reluctant to let him leave. The one way we may get him early is if Huddersfield get first crack at him should he return to the UK. Wigan did that with Bateman.

I’ve watched a bit of Wigan this year as I know someone playing for them this year.

French looks great in an inferior competition. Is he better than our regular 2-5? He could get in front of Tuala honestly. We could do with his speed and unpredictability.

what is the idea about signing French. Weren't we looking at moving Best to wing to get yardage etc like Penrith get from To'o? How does Bevan French fit that

Also he was a very lazy player when at Parra, he would sit on the wing and wait for the ball. May have changed while in the Super League but i don't watch it so not sure. Seems like we have just got excited about someone scoring 7 tries in one game and thought lets sign him.

One HUGE PROBLEM with that, we can't get any of our outside backs the ball

The way things are going I'd rather have French in the team rather than Best, both can't tackle but at least French doesn't look like he's running on an ice skating rink and have penis fingers

Not to mention whatever the f**k Best has going on at the back of his head. He looks (and plays) like a park footy player

Any deal that results in Brooks becoming a Knights is bad in my books but I'll start worrying about it when it happens. Plenty of talk so far.

Frizell is another one still being paid like the player he used to be but I do think he can play a role in a good team. IMO he'd benefit from moving into the middle and playing shorter minutes, probably off the bench. Doesn't have the explosiveness he once had on the edge but still a ball of muscle with footwork and pretty quick off the mark.

I agree with this a lot.

Friz is not the line-breaking barnstorming edge forward he once was but I do think he's mobile and strong enough to cause plenty of issues in the middle of the field in this modern way of footy.

Only problem is we have f**k all good edge forwards so he won't be moving anywhere.

Just listened, Brent Read literally says he's not reporting anything, just speculating. Says there was mail that a few clubs were sniffing around Tyson Frizell and that with the Brooks-Knights link and the Tigers needing a back-rower it "makes sense."

Can see Frizell being ok/good for at least one more year, can then cover middle if needed. Edge forward is a weakness at moment so should keep him, see how we go after 2023.

True Frizell hasn't been as good as previous seasons, but i put alot of that down to our structure and how we are getting him the ball. He looked alot better on the weekend when the team looked better.

Also I heard over the weekend that he has been carrying alot of issues this year that most other players wouldn't be playing. Aparently the club medico's have been telling him to take a week or 2 off, but he wont because he knows we need him.

There is still a good player there, just needs good service and structure to bing it out. He is someone we should hold onto, for the right price of course, but thats a different topic

We look a lot more of a threat with Best on that edge. Tulsa’s strike rate playing outside of him would be very good.
