Yeah, might be able to snag Mozer on a loan deal, but he’s only 18/19 so still a bit too young for regular first grade. Smoothy is the perfect age and should be able to handle it.

The problem is these days we’re not bad bad consistently, but we’re not good either. We’ll have a particularly bad game, pressure will be on, we’ll put in one really good performance (sometimes not even for the whole game) and then coast again.

Until the club wants to play to win a GF rather than play to avoid the spoon we’re not going to see any meaningful improvement.

I’d say another spoon would be good for us to force a shake up if we hadn’t already seen that the 3 from 2015-2017 didn’t change anything.

The club is not playing to avoid wooden spoons. But the idea of a GF seems to not motivate the players. It doesn’t help that the expectation is not there from the higher ups.

Best on 500k is fine but 800k for DSaf is the definition of bad management. Surely he wouldn't have gotten even 700k somewhere else? We pay overs for players who nobody else wants and then lose out moneywise for players we do want to keep like Friz.

Crossland is going well is he? What metrics we using? What is the definition of well? Out of the other 16 clubs in the NRL, which team would he get a role as starting hooker? Literally none. He is literally the worst starting hooker in the NRL but he is "going well"?

Hetherington was offered out? Was he a signing before Parr came?

Muppets. Unbelievable. They are happy to just exist. It is not the players doing. They have a right to play and get what they can. I bet they never wanted to keep Friz and were hoping he would fade out, and instead he has shown some players actually have a second wind with their form.

What do you even say at this point? We're shit, and quite comfortable being shit. "Going well" for us just means having a crack, even if you're incredibly sub-par when compared with your contemporaries across the league.

There's no premiership on the horizon. We'll be lucky to see the finals in the next decade, and certainly not beyond week 1. That's the reality. If you keep showing up to the games and giving the club money, you're very supportive of this status quo and a bit of a mug at this point honestly. They don't earn it anymore and are riding off sentiment built decades ago.

Didn’t Frizz say during the week he isn’t going anywhere? I’m sure if we make him a reasonable offer less than he’s on now, he will stay.
Worst thing that could happen for us in regards to the Safs next contract is if either got selected for Origin again (if we want to keep them).

What I will say is when we re-signed DSaf it was in his real purple patch wasn’t it? When it looked like he’d go in to be a top 3 prop in the game. Still ridiculous money for a prop. Didn’t Brian Smith have the rule about not overspending in props? Or was that Bennett?
