Legend has it Jesse Bromwich was at a Storm training pre season to watch his brother trial for a deal. Started up a conversation with a trainer after Kenny told him his brother plays footy too. Turns out the trainer was sent over by their then coach BA, thinking he was spying on the session. an Under 20s session i believe. Next thing Bellamy decides to let him have a trial. Also gives him a deal. Four years later he is arguably the best prop in the game.
Not that Jesse was a jobber by any means. But the fact he was playing group country footy prior to this and no one spotted him, tells you just how good Bellamy can be at making a player buy into the system.

How many First Grade games did Jenkins play for Penrith? Just another one of those solid players to good for Reserve Grade but may struggle a bit in the top grade.

I always find it interesting how journos find out if a club is interested in an available player

I don’t see the benefit of a club making this public as the more clubs interested, the more expensive the player will be

I usually just assume it’s a case of journos looking around and seeing what clubs don’t have good halves and lumping them into the “interested “ category
