Seb Su'a finally being officially released to go to the Dolphins early, but new development is that Mason Teague is coming to the Knights in a player swap. Played 8 NRL games over the last 2 years (none yet this year) but was a highly rated junior at Penrith. Would've been signed to go up there by O'Sullivan in the first place so must still have a good opinion of him.

Pretty sure the Dogs have shown that smaller, more mobile bodies can be very good in this competition. Let’s see what happens when he plays some games. The way things are going he may get a game soon.

just looked him up… 179cm 93kg is pretty much halfback territory 🫠

Yeah Cant is going to have the slowest play the ball in the comp if he keeps playing like he is at the moment, gets absolutely monstered in every tackle.

RIVAL CLUBS CHASE KNIGHTS STAR

Newcastle have offered Mat Croker a new deal but it may not be enough to keep him as NRL and Super League clubs circle the in-form Knights forward.

Sport Confidential understands that Croker has a big offer from England but will meet at least one rival NRL club next week as he weighs up where he wants to play in 2026.

The Knights have already made their move, tabling a two-year extension for the 25-year-old. Croker has been a fixture off the interchange bench for Newcastle this season.

DRAGONS BEAT KNIGHTS TO RE-SIGN RISING STAR

St George Illawarra have re-signed young half Lyhkan King-Togia for the next two seasons. King-Togia, who attracted interest from the Knights, has recommitted to the club until at least the end of 2027.

He will fight for a starting halves spot next year alongside incumbents Kyle Flanagan and Lachie Ilias as well as 2026 recruit Daniel Atkinson.

The 19-year-old played four games last season. The Dragons remain locked in talks to try to keep boom forward Finau Latu who has had talks with Newcastle and Canterbury about joining them from next season.

Taken with a massive grain of salt

but Chammas is saying that there are talks of this happening before June 30 this season

kpp to tigers
Galvan to Eels
Brown to Knights

wouldn’t be against it tbh

Not sure how I feel about that tbh. I think I would prefer to keep KPP and try to re-sign him rather than get Brown early. But hey if it happens and we see Brown in action I might change my mind.

Don’t want KPP to leave, yes lower his cost, Leo is gone but potentially KPP is best of those proposed leaving, keep Frizell for another year and maybe keep Elliott and only retain Hetherington if no others are staying and no new signings.
Happy to keep Croker but not for much
