We desperately need big forwards.

I would be trying to get Pasami Saulo back, and get Fletcher Baker from the Broncos. Both local boys, both big boys, both would hold positions in our 17.

I know we probably think we should "aim higher" but these are realistic signings.

Canberra are good because of their depth, I don't see why they'd do us a favour for no reason.

It’s not about doing a favour. It can just be very hard to keep a player where there’s little prospect of them getting game time and they have much better prospects elsewhere. Harder to keep selling the idea that there’s a succession plan for a player when he’s 25 and 23 years olds are getting picked over him, AND the club keeps signing other 22-24 year olds who also get game time over him.

I mean sometimes those players just get an early release even without another club trying to talk to them.

Pretty sure Papalii is retiring at the end of the year. They'll be holding onto the middles they have now you'd think, especially the experienced ones
