I see pat o'hanlan has had to retire cause the ankle injury a couple of years ago. How old would he be 23 or 24 sad to see someone career cut short through injury

I remember when he did it that it looked horrific. I had my doubts that he would be able to come back... Looked a lot worse than Taniela Tuaki's back in 2009 and he never played again so this news is not all that surprising to me. Shame for the bloke

I honestly thought his career was cut short because he was rubbish. Had no idea an ankle also played a part

Adam Ritson was the best I've seen and his career also ended suddenly. A close second was Simon Dwyer. Locally Danny Sullivan and Tim Auremi were very good.

Daniel Anderson once rated O'Hanlon the best teenage forward prospect he had ever seen.

POH was just starting to grow into his body and look the goods when the ankle injury happened. He was only 23 at the time, and at 6 foot 5 more like a rugby back rower than the classic NRL mould. He had a potentially bright future for sure....
