I think Morgs going to Storm on secondment is a great thing for both our club and Morgs personally.

We get cap relief.

Morgs will gain priceless experience and will no doubt return as a better player.

English super league clubs loan out their depth players to other clubs in more need all the time. Seems to work well, rather than limiting a guy to only play reserve grade and not develop skills among/against better quality players.

Good luck Morgs, see you next year if we need to lose a back to stay under the cap....

What will Bellamy do with him that BA hasn't???

So he will go to the Storm and automatically find a passing game, strength, speed and ticker????

If we play all of our "park footballers" we'll be over the cap again. I don't think BA would do that though, he constantly says that the fans are important why would he all of a sudden change his attitude?

Is it fair to make you players put their bodies on line and bust their guts each week with nothing to play for?
I reckon its cruel personally

Id let the team play circus footy.Have fun.Throw ball around. Have a joke and a laugh. If you win you win.
Training id drop to half the amount. The players should be able to take it easy this year and rest up for next year.Save energy and get ready for an assault in 2017

Tbh, I agree.

If we lose everything, I'd say TRY to win, to f**k over other teams, but don't play at 100% - why risk injury/suspension for nothing?

Not playing to your potential risks injury. A half assed approach can cause more injuries than not - preparation etc still should be the same otherwise you could potentially stuff next year as well.

Outside backs don't tend to receive early ball in the Storm's system - they are support players. Morgan lacks size and playmaking skill but neither is essential for a centre.

He will make tackles when players run at him, talk to the players in defence on either side of him and hit the hole in attack, of which sometimes someone will pass him the ball. Bellyache will ask for little more than that.

That's something I didn't consider, C. It's a good point.

And, say, we appeal whatever penalty is handed down and are later successful in that appeal?

Lots of people seem to be banking on some miraculous appeal. Sure we can appeal but the chance of success? Surely the NRL and more importantly their lawyers will have gone over this with a fine tooth comb to ensure their punishment is water tight.

Has a club ever appealed a significant salary cap punishment and won?

If i was playing and had nothing to play for and i was a forward i wouldnt put 100% in.

Forwards have so many good powerfull runs in them. The more you take the more your body is effected and the less you have left in you ;)

I reckon that they won't play the stars even if there is a slight niggle.

That's just the lebanese coming out of you. Call it your inner lebanese.

Well, the potential sample size is 3......so I'd not base too much on that history. There was bugger all chance of a successful appeal in the case of the Dogs and Storm....given that the core facts were undisputed.

On the other hand, if the key issues here come down to degrees of association between TPA providers and the club, that is (potentially) a lot less clear. And, in an external court, the NRL will need to defend their rules and their interpretation of them in this case. So who knows whether a successful appeal is likely, but (without knowing the 'facts') there seems to be a much better prospect than in the earlier cases. If they've got us making undisclosed payments to players, that's a different kettle of fish.
