Yeah I don't why people suddenly think the cap will jump to $10m for next season which realistically is a little over 6 months away.
If it did the NRL will have completely lost the plot.... so I guess it probably will go up that much

If I recall a conversation somewhere, maybe NRL 360, that indicated that the clubs were working towards a figure of the salary cap being AT LEAST $9.5 million next season.

If they're working towards that and the NRL doesn't make the salary cap that, then the clubs will just threaten to sack the board again.

I'm a bit surprised at the negativity towards Feldt. He is a complimentary winger for a fullback like Bevan, alleviating some of the issues that you potentially face with kick returns and early set ruck work. He has made a rough start to 2017 error wise but he is a well-rounded winger and brings something unique to a team with his kickoffs.

Semi is an all-time winger talent (just talent mind you given his small body of work) so whoever steps into the void created by his departure is going to to be held to unfairly lofty expectations by supporters. If people are going to balk at $350k for Feldt, who do we sign? Nofoaluma for $400k+?

The problem is we are down grading. Our squad is getting weaker with Semi leaving.
I haven't watched Feldt closely but he just looks like a standard winger. A guy that can be produced internally.

I agree. Feldt is a new age Ashley Graham who was lucky enough to win a GF. However he is competent and $350K is bugger all under the new salary cap.

And under an increased cap 350k is pretty fair for a premiership winning winger of his ability. When the average NRL salary looks like being somewhere from 400-500k at a guess, 350k for Feldt is hardly overs

So who do you think the club should spend their money on?

He'd be ok at the price but not for the money he is chasing. Playing in that backline and with the best playmaker in the comp makes him look a lot better than he really is. Nofaloma would be a great get but he also is probably chasing overs.

Most are missing the point thou. Guys like Feldt should be produced by our club and quite easily. They are just your average NRL players.
So many other clubs are churning these type of guys out. Your Semi or Haynes do not come along often. But your Feldts or Hoffman type players should be easily found within the club.

Gennings, maybe the other 2 I don't think so.

The one that could be one to look out for is Greg Lelesiuao. Big body and really good agility.

Is he Semi Radradra? Nope, but no one will ever be Semi Radradra. So no matter who we put as our left side winger next year it is going to be a downgrade.
