Great signing he can play! He can be a bit of a pest too which we need. 5/8 option for sure but I wonder if we play him as a solid centre option and Lomax to wing (doubtful) or maybe we play him on an edge to provide some threat there?

So is Walker going to be a 14 Smith to start at 9..

Walker can come on and play either hooker or lock?
I reckon we will continue with the 2 hookers, and Walker just takes one of the forward bench spots.

2 hookers have been working well, letting Smith slowly get experience. And Walker while can cover there, isn't really a great option.

He is middle, so he wouId just take game time off one of the current middles. If he was playing this week, he probably takes Keir spot. With Offa/Doorey getting less minutes.

I don't see the downside to signing Walker, tbh - he's experienced, he's quality, and he's definitely an upgrade on some of our current players.

And it's only for 2 years.

Shrewd work from MON, and Rylesy.

Like I said - I know we are winless in 2025, but I have faith in Ryles. I feel like he is showing us that he knows what we need to do, and is making the moves to make it happen.

We just need to be patient.

Credit where it’s due to MON and whoever else. Very shrewd pick up and a two year deal is absolutely perfect.

I’d imagine he’d be fairly cheap across the two years too, with the Wahs having contributed a decent chunk already.

Allows plenty of flexibility in selections now, including, dare I say it, five-eighth. I wouldn’t be entirely surprised to see us let Dylan go now and save more cap space or try and orchestrate a player swap.

On a slightly separate note, we really do get business done these days away from the press.
