Apparently Moses waived the cooling off period. I wonder if we locked him in a hotel room and demanded he sign before midnight or the offer would be removed.

Wait. BA said that we don't have a registered contract and he won't talk about MM until we do.

As much as I believe you MJC, it does not add up.

The 10 day cooling off period is nothing to do with players, it just takes that long for the nrl to stamp a contract

Those names look like someone grabbed all the letters of a scrabble board, tipped them on the floor and just put some random words together using all the letters!
The hyphenated name belongs to Penruff while the ' belongs to Parra such as Ma'u & Auva'a.

Auva'a Gee if people think takas defense was bad. Atleast Taka is only rushing up to try and stop an overlap and force an error. This guy had 3 clean line breaks made against him and the match winner by Foran. Feet like cement.

Won't matter, Gutherson will be in the centre spot very soon

He has to get better Hindy, I mean he did play in a gf so his defence has to be ok. Our defensive line was very compressed against the Warriors probably only covering half the field at times. When Warriors passed to the opposite side of the field our defence was rushing across to cover, so panic stations.

Maybe we need to deploy Broncos defensive structure. They compress their line but leave 4 players together on the opposite side of the field. Therefor there's a gap in the D line about 2/3 across field. If attack goes there they slide from both sides to close but the 4 defenders move less so they still cover sideline. Therefor attacking team has trouble getting around them. Also inside defenders have less to slide to cover gap at 2/3rds rather than gap on far sideline.

Well, Mad Max mentioned the signing of Moses at the end of the AGM and how we are trying to get him (Moses) over for 2017. I asked someone else whether the 10 day cooling off period had elapsed and was told "he waived it". BA said he was not going to discuss until registered with NRL which doesn't have to have happened just because the cooling off period was waived.

Perhaps BA meant for this year?
Like he won't discuss Moses signing until he is registered to play for us this season, which obviously simply cannot happen until the Tigers release him. NRL aren't going to register a player to play for another club while registered at his current club.

Otherwise doesn't make sense.
Here are the rules:
• A player may sign an extension of his contract with his existing club at any time
• A player may sign with a new club only during the final year of his contract
• A 10 business day cooling off period will apply to all contracts
• A club signing a player is prohibited from making an announcement until the cooling off period has expired

So if he has waived the cooling off period, then the deal can be announced.

Whilst I am sure Moses will have a crack this weekend in attack, I doubt he will be as committed as possible in defence. Expect BA to send a lot of traffic his way.

Whilst our new backline will probably look like this:

1. French
2. Semi
3. Jennings
4. Gutherson
5. Hoffman
6. Moses
7. Norman

I think our most threatening backline is this:

1. Gutherson
2. Semi
3. Jennings
4. Taka (or Hoffman)
5. French
6. Moses
7. Norman

I expect Moses to be in the 7, Norman back in the 6.

I'd prefer to leave Bevan at FB, Gutho in the centres... I think your first list is how it will end up except Norman wearing 6, Moses the 7...
