The dribble from Badel yesterday we offered 900k was a load of shit.

The deal with the Broncos was done a week ago.

Badel & Orr Brothers are close so they milked an extra day of headlines using Parramatta as an easy pot shot to say we offered over the top money.

If this is the case the Eels Football club needs to come out in the media and say so because we presently look like a club of simps that no good player will go to. If the club does not come out and say it (something like "we did not offer close to $900k") I am going to assume it is true and he is another player that will not play for us for any amount.

Anyone who is happy with our roster is nuts. If you compare it to other rosters like Storm, Brisbane, Panthers, Rooster etc...it is way off the pace. Even the Knights roster is quite a bit better than ours. We may be last - although I would need to look at the Dragons, Tigers and Titans roster to commit to this.

He’s a terrible recruitment manager. Needs to be shown the door.

100%, it's embarrassing he still has a job at Parra. There is no way he's being judged on performance. I'd be putting some KPI's on him asap, you need to land a big name and 2 to 3 very good 1st graders in next 12 months or your out, within budget.

Parramatta should be a top 3 club. It's the second city in Sydney. We should have sponsors bashing down the door to be involved so we can offer the big players extra outside the cap like Broncos do.

We seem to be missing out on quality players since we moved our training to kellyville, unless you live in the hills district it's an out of the way location for a lot of players I'd imagine , this is not trying to to justify how useless our recruiting guys are, and is Ben rogers our guru recruiter the same one who played at Souths years ago?

I do trust Ryles - he has done a good job with the squad at his disposal, but there are glaring deficiencies therein.

For an older player, probably. But that describes the later years of an older player’s contract anyway. It would be front loaded. That’s likely where this $900k figure comes from. We have cap space and are probably offering a front loaded first year. The second year (and option year) could be significantly less.

Genuine question to those that know more than me about the inner workings. Isn't our recruitement manager Ben Rogers? Is he responsible for all of our recriutement & constant misses or is that soley the domain of MON as football manager? I feel like Rogers gets a free ride around here, when surely he's as culpable as anyone for our current predicamant and unbalanced squad.

Rigers has the tithe if List Manager, and was praised by MON for his work, they have known each other for a while it seems. Not sure what list he manages, believe it’s NRL, what a friggin joke, a list with limited backs, that’s his contribution, but who knows as doesn’t look like scouting is up there
