Lichaa isn't good at playing big minutes and doesn't have the endurance of Peats but I would agree that for around half the price he is better value.

Depends if we are spending cap money elsewhere to upgrade other positions.
If we want to have a crack a actually winning the comp then you do not want 500k spare under the cap.

Thing is that Peats does not bring a money ball or short kicking game. So is a hooker who defends well and can dart around the ruck worth $600k? I say no and agree that we could buy cheaper.

Peats does bring energy. Like i mentioned prior. If BA thinks we can win it next year amd hookers only spot wants to upgrade then why keep money spare in cap?

I still think there is some forward recruitment to come. And hoping we can change semi mind.
I doubt anyone wants to go to france.

Hayne won't be coming back. But is anyone game enough to match my offer, by taking a break from the forums when it's comfirmed once and for all that Hayne is never. coming. back. ?

It's unlikely. No one else seems to care as much about the issue as you.

I can't see a player, ie Peats, coming back to Sydney and all its associated higher costs of living in general, for LESS money than what the Titans are offering, so I think people need to get past that notion. We're going to need to offer as much but likely more than what he's going to be getting up there.

Got to factor in family etc, his mum is sick and lives down here plus isn't his partner expecting?

Say we offer $500k and Titans offer $550k that is only what a 10% difference? I have changed jobs for a similar difference just to be closer to the family. Being close to support does make a massive difference for some.

If Peats wants $600k, I would be tempted to look at Tyrone Roberts instead. Especially if the BA brains trust think Tonise maybe a back up option next year.

Yeah he isn't a specialist hooker, but if Pritchard keeps on improving we probably don't need a top 13 hooker, just someone to provide some back up off the bench.

Roberts would be a good option as that back up as he can play 14 with the ability to play several positions and good cover for the halves.

A lot probably also depends on what happens with Dargan too.

I reckon a lot of guys on here think highest bidder wins. It a lot of cases it would.
But plenty of guys also would take less to be at a place they prefer. Why so many people stay in same jobs.
Playing for a succesfull team also gives you more chance of a bigger future deal and rep footy.

With moses coming today. Had me thinking. Didnt the tiger pull contract off table. Like Ivan did? So why be a cok and not release him? They pulled the offer not Moses.

Was wondering why Massoud and Prozhenks pulled into the Parra leagues car park just now.

Coz he was under contract for this year. They didn't renege on their obligation to him for 2017. The fact that a club decides not to re-sign you for future years doesn't mean that you can walk out of your existing. deal.

So there's one thing not in our favour when trying to convince players to come to us for less.... :(

Here is some RUMOURS about the panfers.

I have to say that Matt Moylan doesn't come across as being too happy or engaged at the moment.... I realise he's a fairly miserable merkin at the best of times but even for him he seems decidedly apathetic at the moment...
