BTW, the announcement from Buckingham Palace - that has to be world class on the boring scale. I expect a death for that amount of attention

Imagine what it's going to be like when she does then.
I was hoping they'd have a bit of a cover up and phil has secretly died but they want him to go out in a blaze, instead of carking it Elvis style. Hopefully an announcement is coming about him rejoining the army and he rides a bomb onto Isis in a mash of dr strangelove and weekend at bernies

Semi Radradra would have to pay almost half a million dollars to break his French rugby deal
Michael Carayannis and Christian Nicolussi, The Daily Telegraph
38 minutes ago

THERE are half a million reasons why Semi Radradra won’t break his French rugby deal despite domestic violence charges being dropped earlier this week.

Eels officials had been holding out some hope Radradra may backflip on his deal to join Toulon to extend his time at Parramatta. However, Radradra would need to fork out €300,000 (about $440,000), should he renege on his contract.

But we expect this year won’t be the last time we see the 24-year-old in the NRL.

He believes he was left with little option but to sign with French rugby even though his intentions were to remain in the NRL.

Radradra could be back as soon as next May, with the winger having an option in his favour to stay in France for a second season. A mid-season move would replicate that of Mark Gasnier, who went on to win a premiership with St George Illawarra after joining the club in round 17 in 2010 after playing the French rugby season with Stade Francais.

I suspect with that announcement, you'll probably hear of a death soon of said retiree.

Yeh, possibly. But equally the docs might have simply said that he's not up to regular work anymore. The fact that he's going to fulfill existing commitments until August suggests that they're not expecting him to drop tomorrow.

If the NRL see Semi as a good thing for the NRL then they should dip into their war chest and pay the fee for Semi, they're the ones who thought Semi would be a distraction for the Australian team so who can blame Semi for having a backup plan, the NRL certainly weren't going to help much.
