They're different players. I'd say Jennings is the better centre in the traditional sense, but Hayne is a much better and more versatile attacking player and therefore has skills that Jennings doesn't. He's much more useful at 1 or 6.

Even as someone who still has big question marks over the MM signing, I won't be apportioning any blame his way if we are beaten this Saturday night....unless of course he gives away a penalty in front of the sticks with 5 seconds left on the clock when we're up by 1 or some shit like that....

Pretty much. If true, I'd love for him to absolutely kill it. But coming from a club in crisis, into a new side with a totally different structure...it's a big ask to slot in play your best after like 4 days
