I was taking the piss as it has been explained many times on here that the NRL haven't allowed the Broncos to sign lodge.

It was a reply to someone else having a giggle about us not going after Vaughn and something else that has been joked about someone asking.

I just checked the Squad Succession thread and 6 of these are signed until the end of 2019.

Of the current forwards, I can only see Ma'u, Moeroa, Brown and Edwards as definite top 17 every week next year, barring injury/suspension of course. Adding Evans and Elliot would leave 2017 top 17 players Mannah, Alvaro, Matagi, Vave and Scott fighting it out for the last 2 or 3 spots each week.

Interesting times ahead.

I can't see how we could offer Elliot a top 17 position. Surely some other club can.

I'd suspect it'd either be Beau's spot, or he'd play a middle forward (lock) role.

That's a very solid, 12 deep forward pack fitting into 8, maybe 9 spots.
I tried to put them in some sort of descending order too, but I could be way off.

With all this said, I've heard he's staying at the Dogs. Barry Toohey (Knights beat writer) reported it on the weekend, but I think it's old news.

Just on Elliot the kennel insiders are saying that the dogs have botched the cap and may get outbid on Elliot and others. Eastwood is apparently staying the club thought the Tigers would take him but they dropped off. Funny reading how angry they are over Dessie and the cap.
