The Plane is back and has cause for celebration.

Not only did he produce magic in his successful State of Origin return but he’s made a decision on his $1.2 million NRL option with Gold Coast.

The only problem is, he’s still not telling.

Coy when asked what the future holds, Hayne confirmed he made a decision on his future on Tuesday night but we won’t know what it is until Thursday.

“The Titans will put out an announcement (on Thursday),” Hayne said after the match.

“I want to give them the respect to do that.”

With no other interest from rival NRL clubs, Hayne is expected to accept his option for another season on the Gold Coast.

That doesn't sound like he is necessarily staying to me.

More like he wants a glorified press conference, post origin.

Surprised he didn't opt for one before origin.

Was it ever in doubt with Peats' performance last night? Like is anyone really all that surprised?

You know what your gonna get from him and your gonna get it every single time, didn't surprise me at all he belongs in that arena, and like I said before should give him the 600k his asking, his worth every cent of it and keeping Kaysa around wouldn't be so bad if Peats was to get injured.

Big big miss for me not getting him back here.

Yeah add that to not even inquiring about Vaughan and serious questions need to be raised about our management

Agreed. Peats is the 2nd or 3rd best player in his position, which is a spine position, in the game. Even accounting for his poor injury record I think $600k is more than fair. We have plenty of cap space, a need in his position and he is one of the best hookers going around. The fact we have Kaysa sewn up and able to play big minutes if Peats does get injured reduces that risk.

Peats' defence is like having another excellent big body in the middle which many people are calling out for.

On Peats, great game, two points of consideration, we've pulled our offer, that can't bode well for negotiations...and now that he is the incumbent SOO hooker thats three more games he is not available for next year. He corked his leg and is not likely to back up this weekend, so that'll be 4 games missed?

We have Kaysa who is no doubt a big part of our plans, I dont reckon we are after a hooker the status of Peats, at the right price we may have, now I guess we will be resting our hopes on Kaysa, and a suitable depth replacement.
