So, your argument as to why we should pay $100k over the next best offer is based on pure speculation. And the speculation is unlikely to be true. However, it is fair to say that living costs matter. But really only the day-to-day / unavoidable living costs (given that we are talking about 2-3 year contracts). A player doesn't have to buy a new house every time he moves towns, though he might choose to do so if the market suits.
I'm not arguing Barry, I'm just pointing out we need a hooker and he's the best on the market and fairly well priced IMO. The offers that have reportedly come through to peats seem to suggest they are close. I'm just saying we should be done with it, and give him his 600k offer if it means he signs.
