Not another who accepts mediocrity. You must accept our recruitment is poor and some players need to be dropped. French, I am a fan of his, but he has been poor since coming back from knee surgery. Needs to be dropped to regain confidence, Gutho to replace him. Gennings or Dane Aka....? to the centres to replace either Taka or Auva'a (they can't do any worse, can they?). O'Brien is another park player and we have heaps of them along with Mannah, Alvaro and Matagi. Vave can be destructive but plays only short minutes and seems well over-weight. Moses defends too upright imo so gets pushed off too easily.
Anyway, sounds like I'm a big whinger, but just look who Cleary has purchased in a couple of months compared with us. I can guarantee those purchases will propel their team into the 8 while we twiddle our thumbs hoping to make the 8! Those players were available, BA knew it, but did nothing, that is what I'm whinging about.
I'm not going to get into the playground attitude of name-calling - rationality doesn't equate to accepting mediocrity -, and I don't think you're a whinger.
I get why you're frustrated - I am, too.
But perhaps neither George Jennings, nor Dane Aukofolau, are up to First Grade yet, and hence their omission?
Maybe our second tier cap is already f**ked, and Arthur doesn't want to screw us over more?
I'm sure Arthur targeted players to fit into his system - and it's not as if we signed nobody.
Kane Evans is an astute signing.
Moses was a good decision, despite his clear flaws.
For the first time since the Brian Smith days, we have a coach with a clue, and a board with a brain; but undoing a decade's worth f destruction will, unfortunately, take some time.
We were well on our way last year - then the salary cap shit exploded in our faces, we released the NSW hooker (which I always thought was a huge mistake), and Foran's personal issues caught up with him.
Those dramas have set us back, but with our coach and board working professionally, we will turn the corner, and sooner, rather than later.
