What a stupid, piss weak and ridiculous proposition.

#classicpou

Go through every team, and tell me which team would still be competitive a year after losing their starting hooker and half, without being about to replace them.

Semi Radradra Rugby League Return
Just in.

Parramatta star Semi Radradra has revealed he has already begun negotiations to return to the NRL club after his stint in French rugby union.

It appears increasingly likely the 25-year-old will be back in the blue and gold by mid-2018 after confirming his manager George Christodoulou had, in the past week, begun talks with the Eels.

At the end of the NRL season, the Fijian-born try-scoring machine will depart Australia to link up with Top 14 club Toulon.

He has a one-year deal, with an option for a second, meaning he could be back in rugby league in June next year after the 2017-18 Top 14 season finishes.

"I would love to come back. I call this club my home. If the door is open next year, I will come back and finish it off," Radradra said.

"I've left that (negotiations) to my manager and he's doing a lot of work now. Last week and this week, he's talked with the club. I'll see after that."

Parramatta coach Brad Arthur has expressed his desire to bring the former Australian Test representative home next year and Christodoulou says he expects his client to return to the NRL "for sure".

There now appears to be a strong desire from Radradra to play the 13-man game again after this year.

The Top 14 season runs until early June, meaning the Eels could bring him home before the June 30 deadline and he could be available around this time next year.

Radradra has scored at a phenomenal strike rate during his time in the NRL, racking up 68 tries in 82 games over four-and-a-half seasons.

Should he return, he could conceivably trouble Norths and Manly great Ken Irvine's record of 212 tries.

Radradra was forced to sign with Toulon after he was charged with domestic violence offences, which left his NRL playing future in doubt.

After pleading not guilty, the charges brought by ex-girlfriend Perina Ting were dropped last month by prosecutors.

He said were it not for the saga which dragged his private life into the spotlight, he wouldn't have signed with rugby union.

"It's a pretty tough decision. I signed that contract because of what happened in the past," Radradra said in reference to his court case.

"If that doesn't happen, I would have been happy to stay here, sign a couple more years and sign with Parra. That's what forced me to sign that contract.

"Also on my mind, I wanted to try something different and then come back."

It'll be to Brisbane. And that smirking John Grant picture will be posted so much it will take on a life of its own and set in motion a series of events that dooms mankind to extinction. With a smirk

Semi has left the door open to snake us with his comments about 'if there's a door open for him'.

So if he goes to Brisbane it'll be our fault for not leaving a massive f**king hole in our salary cap. Just like Hayne.

The Arthur argument has got some good points for both sides of the argument.

If we do not make the semis next year I can see why some would want him punted, its been 5 years with no semi finals appearance. (Obviously we would have been there last year through no fault of his own we were not). Not many others would get a renewal after that sort of output.

But then you look at what his been through the drama, the scandals, the sagas and you it's hard to really judge him.

I am not making excuses but he built a good team last year and like I keep saying we would have made a good fist of it come September, we honestly could defend as good as Parra ever has, had strike weapons everywhere and could really hang with the big boys, that was his team, he coached us he instilled that into us.

It's just annoying to see us regress after last year, in some areas I understand the struggles but things like defence are a major concern for me.

Next year is a real gauge of what he can do, but that starts from now and who he brings in.

You're letting your cynicism get the best of you. BA is like the white, cranky father Semi never had. Because he already had a father. He'll be back.

He shouldn't have walked away so easily, and if we take him back mid year he'll have effectively f**ked up at least one season (or two if we release him early from August this season).

I wouldn't be rushing to sign him unless he'll take "unders" to make up for the disruption his choice to sign elsewhere has caused us. His form's not been as impressive over the past twelve months as it was in the twelve months prior to that as well...

Sport Confidential: Semi Radradra backs Parramatta’s bid to lure Marika Koroibete back to the NRL

SEMI Radradra has supported Parramatta’s bid to lure Melbourne Rebels flyer Marika Koroibete back to the NRL.

With Koroibete’s future uncertain at the Rebels, the Eels are keeping a close eye on the former Wests Tigers and Melbourne Storm star.

Koroibete signed a three-year deal with Super Rugby’s Rebels worth about $2 million — way more money than he would secure in the NRL.

But with the Rebels or the Western Force on the chopping block, and Koroibete missing the cut for the starting side for Saturday’s Wallabies Test against Scotland, his future may lay with an NRL return.

“It would be good for the club to sign him,’’ Radradra said. “He’s a great player and we know what he brings.

“I haven’t spoken to him recently, he’s a good mate of mine, but he’d be good here.’’

The Eels are keeping a close eye on Koroibete’s movements, with some touting him as an ideal swap for Radradra — who will join French rugby club Toulon at the end of Parramatta’s season.

Koroibete said earlier this week that he’d prefer to stay in rugby.

‘’This year I’d say so, probably yeah,’’ he said. ‘’Whether I’m going to another club if the Rebels aren’t safe or going overseas I’m not completely sure. I’ll leave that to my manager.’’
