Why put it off? We need Peats next season

I know why we aren't meeting Peats asking price but I really think we need some leadership/ experience in the pack, which Peats offers.

I know plenty will disagree, but I thought Davis was good last week and considering he is still a rookie (only 8 or so games), he has a lot of improvement in him.

If Semi isn't coming back, I would prefer we save some cash and not get an experienced winger ( which the club seems to be looking for) and give Davis / GL an opportunity there.

And with the cash we save, which could be around $100-$200k (maybe more) and use it to meet Peats asking price.

Plenty of the top sides have average wingers but we would benefit by having Peats in the middle.

The top sides might indeed have average wingers but how many of them have inexperienced wingers? The Roosters at least put their rookie outside backs at centre.
