Alvaro wouldn't even be considered on most top 8 teams benches. I understand he probably takes up minimal cap space, but people on here are constantly talking up his defense, when his most important job is getting the team out of trouble on their own line, in which he is average .

It's not his job at all. His job is to work like a mad merkin in defence. The big carries are for your attacking players as proven by their uneven distribution.

Plenty of teams have erratic attacking players. There's always room for risk takers in any team. As long as they can pull their weight in defence. When did Sandow ever put his body on the line?

He's right. Sandow always scored highly in attacking and kicking categories, as well as in Dally M voting. He was just an awful defender, especially after the shoulder charge was made illegal.
