Rumours and Stuff

A team of investigators from the Integrity Unit of the National Rugby League has descended upon the Narrabeen offices of the Manly Sea Eagles.
It is understood that intelligence has been gathered about a large sum of cash being handed over in a car park to a then Manly player. Another star Manly player is also the subject of allegations involving undisclosed player payments.

Would be good if Manly were caught are they as stupid as Parra?
I doubt anybody as stupid as Parra. Storm had a whistle blower as did Parra (not sure about Dogs) and Storm players had another contract (no, how dare anybody think that is suspicious, I mean none of the players did). This time we're talking about cash here probably coming from a company that the NRL can't audit. And the NRL telegraphed that they will be investigating giving them plenty of time to crank up the shredders.
Nothing to see here (at least NRL hoping) as surely all this rorting must mean the end of the salary cap in this format. Time to adopt another method, either a points system or a player valuation system that can't be rorted.

Maybe a massive reward for whistleblowers isn't a bad idea then.
$5 million for anyone who comes forward with info which leads to clubs getting busted. Who's going to turn down that kind of cash?
The fine goes towards the reward.

well the fines so far usually have been about $1 million so they aren't going to offer that much

Normams form is part of this though and a hooker not adding a lot in attack.
We need a Graheme style imo.

With all this Manly salary cap drama going on, I hope that they end up having to release a couple of players like we did. If that blessed thing happened, Api Koroisau and Shaun Lane would be my choices and brilliant pickups for us.

On Api, I mentioned on here some years ago now, when he was 18 yrs old and playing in the lower grades for Souths that we should poach him, seeing that they had Issac Luke at the time.

As usual, some of the blind imbecile talentless fools on here mocked and ridiculed as they so often blissfully do. Well look at him now. Probably the best dummy half in the league on current form.

So many of you on here have no freakin idea about spotting talent even if Johnathan Thurston bit you on the dick, which by the way, when he was playing for the Dogs I wanted him at Parra. But some here ragged me out that he was to small and couldn't tackle, just like some said about Api. I must admit though even I didn't think that Thurston was going to become the player and future immortal that he has turned to be.

Just because I have previously suggested players that have has issues with the law and proven to be bad news, doesn't mean they don't/didn't have talent. When I made that suggestion we were in a very different situation as a club. Also, if we had given out that lifeline, you don't know if that player would have gone in a different direction or not. As we know, to rehabilitate successfully a major part of that is you need to be surrounded by good influences at the very least, not cast adrift.

Anyway...end of rant.

P.s. Watch Lane peoples...he's a goody, if he can get his work rate up, which will take time.

Just because you enjoy being precise with other people's post, there are several State Govt taxes, plus federal taxes indirectly affect State Govt
I would agree with the bold bit which I believe directly relates to the topic being discussed.
For example, reducing ones payroll liability by paying an employee in undocumented cash transaction(s) would impact the amount of total payroll declared and hence the amount of NSW State Payroll Tax imposed and collected by the NSW Office of State Revenue.

Shaun Lane is one of the worst "Ram picks" yet! He's an absolute nufftastic gumby who would be behind every back-rower in our squad. He's a poor man's Dane Carlaw...big, strong when he feels like it, with a few skills, but completely gutless and simply not up to NRL standard. He was sent packing by the Warriors for his lack work ethic and his inconsistency. The Warriors!

One of your best Rammy!

You are so full of shit. Thurston's last year at the dogs was 04, you joined this forum in 07. You have no credibility, nothing you say can be believed
