Mundine would probabaly get a game for the Doggies next year. They'll have a few vacancies.

Talk about players regressing. What about this slug? About to equal an unwanted NRL record.

Doesn't help given the game plan nor the halves he has in front of him. He is used as a dummy half runner and that's about it. It's certainly a fall from grace though.

Big chance at the Dogs for him. He'd be cheap at least.

Wasn't sure whether to start an Off Topic thread for this but I'll just put it in here...

Who are you more impressed with in terms of their recruiting for 2018 so far - Tigers or Knights?

I'm going with the Knights. I reckon they can challenge for the 8 next year. And they aren't finished yet. Apparently they are still keen on Maloney and Graham or Blair up front are still in their sights (Blair is pus tho so for their sake I hope he goes to the Warriors)... Tigers will be almost unrecognisable next year but I still don't see them improving enough to play finals footy. Think Knights have better days ahead of them, and sooner...

So far the Knights have Guerra, Ponga, Ese'ese, Watson...anyone else?

Tigers have Matalino, Reynolds, Packer, Macqueen, Mahe Fonua, Corey Thompson, Tahne Miln on top of mid season signings Twal, Lolohea...anyone else?

So far I'd say the Tigers have been more impressive recruiting for 2018 than the knights

Are you including keeping Brooks and losing Moses? Anyway I reckon the Knights. Ponga and Watson look good and the young guys will get better with the experience of this year. Tigers paid too much for Reynolds and probably Packer. And they lose Tedesco.

Tigers have also gotten weaker in key positions....Tedesco replaced by Lolohea is a loss, Moses replaced by plod Reynolds is a loss....although they have improved their pack a lot.

Knights have strengthened key positions. Ponga is a freak and Watson is far better than a Lamb or a Cogger.

I'd back the Knights to improve more than the Tigers next year

Knights have also lost their best player in Gagai. Have they even got a replacement for him?

Gagai has hardly been consistently great (or even good) for them tbh. Very overrated player.

SKD has the derp in him but he'll be a more than able replacement.
