Daily Tele reporting eels offer 2.5 mil deal to Hayne over 3 years.
That's not terrible, 833K a year is not bad, a little higher than I would have liked, would have preferred 750K, but it's not too bad.

Whether or not he takes it is another story, and also whether or not it's actually real is another completely different story again..

Without a doubt he is a better half than Gutherson (at least at this stage). But what Gutherson has going for him is that he is busier, and his running game is less 'wasted' in the halves.

If Gutherson plays well enough supporting Norman it at least provides him a position in the top 17 (besides wing) if Hayne comes back.

But as good as French has been scoring tries, he is both a liability on the wing, and much of his skill is wasted there. Ideally he would play fullback. There's a lot about fullback play that he won't learn on the wing.

He will add bulk in off season-He will be a better winger. But what you say is true. He can not cart the ball up like toutai and is pushed off the bomb easy.

Parramatta approve three-year offer for Jarryd Hayne worth nearly $2.5 million

PARRAMATTA has formally approved a three-year offer for superstar Jarryd Hayne worth nearly $2.5 million.

The Daily Telegraph can reveal the club has rubber-stamped the offer which is expected to tabled to Hayne’s manager, Wayne Beavis, this week.

Hayne’s deal would be worth around $800,000 a season — the same money which lured Kieran Foran from Manly to Parramatta.

Essentially, Foran’s money will be used to attract Hayne back to Pirtek Stadium.

St George Illawarra and Gold Coast are also eyeing Hayne. The Titans were a realistic chance but Parramatta are now clear favourites.

Eels administrator Max Donnelly and Parramatta head coach Brad Arthur have been in discussions about the Hayne offer.

Parramatta have been working on the club’s salary cap to ensure Hayne can be signed without acting improperly outside the cap. Hayne could also attract some legitimate third-party agreements.

Donnelly was reluctant to comment on any offer but told The Daily Telegraph: “Yes, the club is interested in Jarryd and it’s a matter of sorting out what we have available to offer him whilst complying with the salary cap. I wouldn’t be going there unless Brad (Arthur) wanted him (Hayne).”

The challenge for Hayne now will be whether he can return to rugby league — and Parramatta — and become the superstar he once was. No one would want to bet against it happening.

Just last week, Titans CEO Graham Annesley said: “Any NRL club would be interested in Jarryd Hayne. But there are a lot of things that would have to fall into place for us to be able to table an offer.”

The Sydney Roosters, South Sydney and Newcastle have already ruled out making an offer to Hayne. French rugby union club Toulon continue to discuss the possibility of signing Hayne, maybe for rest of this year.

Parramatta also expects to announce the retention of five-eighth Corey Norman shortly. Norman is said to have agreed to the deal but the club is yet to officially announce the signing. St George Illawarra was also interested in Norman.

Foran was officially released from his rich Eels deal last week.

Meanwhile Parramatta will continue their search for a new club chief executive officer, head of football and a commercial manager.

So Haynes "failure" at 6. Most of his games were at the back end of 2011, 8 of the 14 according to rugby league project.
Haynes stats for those 8 games
Try Assist - 5
Line break assist - 5
Kicks - 108
Tackles - 96
Missed Tackles - 28
Errors - 12
Runs - 81
Run Metres - 790
Offloads - 9
Tackles Breaks - 31
Line Breaks - 2
Tries - 2

Compare that to the best halfback going round in Thurston for some of the same games. Thurston was out for a few of the weeks Hayne played as 6 so i got a few earlier games stats to get the same sample size
Try Assist - 7
Line break assist - 7
Kicks - 61
Tackles - 105
Missed Tackles - 34
Errors - 14
Runs - 79
Run Metres - 558
Offloads - 7
Tackles Breaks - 29
Line Breaks - 4
Tries - 4
you need the sample size to be bigger-Ask monica lewinksy

THE Titans have ramped up their pursuit of code-hopping superstar Jarryd Hayne, tabling a multimillion-dollar deal to bring The Hayne Plane to the Gold Coast.

The Titans first revealed their interest in luring Hayne to Queensland when the ex-Parramatta flyer walked out on his NFL career with the San Francisco 49ers in May.

That interest progressed to a formal offer on Tuesday night for Hayne to join the Titans on a multi-season deal.

Hayne had a brief tilt at qualifying for Fiji’s rugby sevens team at the Rio Olympic Games and is now weighing up his next move.

Parramatta is favourite to sign Hayne for 2017, however the 28-year-old is exploring his options and The Courier Mail understands he is reluctant to play for another Sydney club.

Titans coach Neil Henry said the club had not landed Hayne’s signature.

“I haven’t got any signing news,” Henry said. “There’s nothing on Jarryd Hayne unfortunately.”

The Titans are having their best season in five years and are in contention to play finals football for the first time since 2010.

After being burnt by the Daly Cherry-Evans debacle last year, the Titans are still on the hunt for a marquee man to be the face of the club.
Hayne, a former Test and State of Origin star, would be the biggest signing in the club’s 10-season history.

Queensland coach Kevin Walters urged the Titans to go hard for Hayne in a bid to boost their brand.

“They have to have a crack at Hayne for sure,” he said. “I wouldn’t go paying $2 million for him but if they can get him there at the right price, he would be a great signing for the Titans.

“Jarryd Hayne would be great in a promotional sense. They are playing some great football with a no-nonsense attitude and a special athlete like Hayne could turn them into a genuine title contender.”

Henry has left his fullback options for next season open. He has given contracted players William Zillman and Josh Hoffman permission to negotiate with rivals and is yet to re-sign current No. 1 David Mead.

Titans CEO Graham Annesley confirmed negotiations with Hayne were ongoing.

“We are still in discussions,” he said. “We’ve just got to go through a process.”

Yep, won't be no games at Pirtek next season.

And if Hayne doesn't take our offer over the Gold Coast's offer - considering we've reportedly paid Hayne $200,000+ in each of the two seasons he's been away from the game - then he'll be known as a shit human being.
