Disappointed in him, but it's not the end of the world. We have got by without him for two years. At least now we can strengthen our front Row and dummy half stocks.

So we go into next year with only 1 star in our spine (if Norman has even actually signed). We wont even be close to a top 8 team.

Who is on the market, we either need a marquee fullback or half. Cronk isn't going anywhere, so that leaves no halves. I'm not aware of any fullbacks unless we take one of the Titans scraps (Zillman or Hoffman) but neither are marquee

We don't need a fullback, we have Gutherson/French. We just need a half, but with Hayne not coming we now have close to a million dollars to spend. I am sure we will get more the a half with that cash, probably a hooker and another forward too and all top 17 quality. That will make us a better side then just spending it all on a fullback.

Very disappointing if true. Hayne should be remembered as playing only for the Eels whilst in the NRL. Interesting that the Titans can afford him whilst this year also getting: Peats, Hurrell, McQueen retaining Elgey and also signing Taylor.

Maybe we should have let the NRL take over our FC board?

On the other site last night, a poster posted Hayne is a done deal at the Titans because the NRL had Beavis by the short and curlies and the NRL only wanted Hayne to play there and not the eels. He was shot down quick smart, but what if he posted is true. Stagger now posted Hayne will play this year. So Titans sign hurrel, peats and now Hayne mid season. Seems legit!!!

Maybe we should rethink our take on the appeal. By all accounts the NRL have dangled a carrot In front of us to drop it (250k). An appeal in another two weeks will throw this season into chaos for the NRL.
