Can someone please find the post where Stagger absolutely hammered me for talking up Twal, when I called for him to be given a crack on the bench for Parramatta.

Twal is an upgrade on Vave and Gower already. In a year's time he will equal Alvaro & definitly overtake the aging Mannah.

Enough said.

Gower can play middle or edge, and is just as good a defender (better, imo) than Twal.

I rate Twal, but he's done nothing yet at a decent level tbh.

This isn't boxing/MMA, where you legitimately get smashed in the face.

Just because a bloke looks tough in a rugby league pack, it doesn't mean he will layeth the smack down!

PJ Marsh wasn't intimidating, but he belted the shit out of attackers.

Tony Williams (huge frame, neck tatts, etc.) is terrifying - but he's a pussycat.

Likewise in MMA - Kimbo Slice looked menacing, but he got his arse handed to him by "Big Country" Roy Nelson (who is the least intimidating fighter around, but one of the most legit badasses in world MMA).

Looks mean squat, tbh.

As others have already pointed out Twal isn’t really comparable to Gower or Vave. And last season I don’t think he would have been equal to them anyway. Maybe with another preseason under his belt. But your Mannah and Alvaro hate clouds your judgement. He may overtake Mannah in next year or 2 but Alvaro is better at the moment and will also improve with more experience. Twal would have been behind all 4 for awhile so a move was smart on his part. Heck even if next season he becomes better than every Forward we have, it’d be because he moved that he was able to gain that improvement
