Why would Roosters release him? They have lost a few forwards without replacing them so a bit skinny there on quality backups. And with their sombrero have no pressing need to release any player.

Possibly players have their backs up about the Cronk/Pearce situation. Also with how SST has performed in the World Cup for To ga at prop maybe they maybe thought he could step up and do Napas job
