TENSIONS AT THE EELS

WE keep hearing there is a clash at Parramatta Eels between coach Brad Arthur and star playmaker Corey Norman. It’s all being kept hush hush at the moment but we’ll be keeping an eye on developments.

There are other clubs still looking for a quality playmaker including Manly Sea Eagles and Cronulla Sharks who both missed out on Mitchell Pearce. Arthur obviously rates Norman highly as a player but there is a personality clash that is creating the drama.
I broke this months ago. It’s common knowledge. Norman is an erratic unprofessional peanut that needs to grow up.

I would have f**ked him off ages ago.

I’m sure the same has been said about players like Slater. The kids still learning and if he’s good enough at 85-90kg, then he’ll get paid accordingly, to his ability not his weight.

French is certainly worth making a serious offer to, but if others want to pay over the odds, he goes. We can win without him, and with a bit more investment in the pigs we'll win more games.

You also have to factor in the number of games you are likely to get out of French.

Not surprised at all. Even his teammates refer to him as a space cadet. And watching his media appearances after his f**k ups he didn't seem to have learnt anything.

I can't believe I'm saying this but didn't Chiefy actually break this one?

Why did BA re-sign him if this is true? If he was unprofessional now surely he was unprofessional when he signed his 2nd contract with us? As BA has said about Hayne why would he sign someone who is a detriment to what he's built/building at Parramatta?

He just lost Foran and peats. Our spine was pulled apart. Id say we where desperate then.

So you're saying that BA completely disregarded his principles for one player? BA doesn't seem like the sort of person to be desperate for a signing, I think this was first established when we didn't sign Peta Hiku or Dale Copley in the centre shuffle of the 16 pre-season.

If BA didn't think Norman was the right fit for the club he wouldn't have re-signed him after his big casino incident.

Who knows....Spine players are harder to come by then centres.
He gave Norman a chance and KE. Id say BA likes to give guys a 2nd chance. Just not a 3rd.

Because we were able to get him cheap. And I don't think we want to let him go, I'd say he wants an upgrade (whatever the Broncos are offering) and this is manifesting as unprofessionalism now. Just IMO (and if true, obviously).
