Based on whom they play for I'd say Takairangi is on $300k at most but Hurrell could be on $500k. Hurrell is worth slightly more because he is better in attack. Both players are weak links in defence (at least at centre).

Hayne is worth at least $700k, even based on this year's form. At his best he's worth about $1M.

Brown is probably worth whatever we're paying Scott. Will another club offer more? I doubt it, but it's possible. Especially if he hasn't re-signed by the time the comp starts and our early form (and thus his own form) is very good. There's a chance we'll lose him, and thus a chance our fans wig the f**k out.

No player is bigger than our club. Arthur has proven that more than once.

We have a couple of players coming thru who can replace Brown, Ray Stone and Niukore, who will do a good job but maybe not as good as Brown. However they're young and hopefully further develop and they'll probably be even cheaper.

As of now Bevan has limited ball playing skills and cant cart the ball up hard. He gets rag dolled if he doesnt get low to the ground when he does bring it back.
He is also to light to stop a one on one close to the line.

Langer was a half and also played the game 20+ yrs ago.
Heck is Sandow was around in the 90s he would of killed it.

Slater frame is far more solid then Bevan. He is perhaps shorter but would have to weigh more.

Unless Bevan fills put and gets closer to the 90kgs mark he may struggle with injuries.

Considering Jenko only played right centre for 8 games to shore up the defence with Moses I'd say it's bs. Arthur confirmed yesterday nobody will be forced out and Hayne will be right centre and Jenko back to left

It doesnt stop him from being a topline player. But I doubt he can ever become elite. He would have to be exceptional in every other area to be considered for a NSW or Australian jersey.

I will tell you right now unless there is truth to the KE or Norman story the only guy I see leaving is Hoffman. We still have 2 spots spare. If we saved 250k on the Hoff we would have 750k left. Id say theyd want to keep 350k spare for a possible Semi half a year. That leaves 400k.

I see what you're saying, and it makes a lot of sense.

But where French is actually quite brilliant is that he uses his brain - a few times this season, he made a great try-saving tackle on a much bigger player, and what he did was very clever.

Basically, he holds onto the ball carrier, and falls backward; all he has to do is make sure that he maintains a hold of the player's arms, and then cradle the ball, and he will hold up a player more often than not.

He could definitely stand to add some bulk to his frame, to help him return the ball with more power.

But he's developing quite nicely - he's lightning quick, and has a good brain to boot, too.

Add 5kgs to his frame, and he will be elite - no doubt in my mind.

I think in under 20s they bulked him up and he played worse. Lost his speed. So they trimmed him down again.
Forty 20 may confirm this.

I don't think adding muscle will make a player lose any noticeable speed. Instead it will affect his work rate, which isn't a feature of French's game already.
