Hey forty, are you aware of why Beau Scott hasn't returned to training yet - or have I not spotted him?

Just personal leave I believe mate. He was in America with his little boy Noah (the child that prompted him to move back to Sydney for medical reasons) last week per social media.

They go on camp. Hence the exclusion of the injured Guth. Freddy loves Guth - in fact he gave him the name The King.

The 2018 Emerging Blues squad (in club and alphabetical order) is:

Payne Haas (Brisbane Broncos)

Tevita Pengai Jr. (Brisbane Broncos)

Michael Lichaa (Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs)

Nick Cotric (Canberra Raiders)

Jayden Brailey (Cronulla Sharks)

Kyle Flanagan (Cronulla Sharks)

Jessie Ramien (Cronulla Sharks)

Lachlan Croker (Manly Warringah Sea Eagles)

Jack Gosiewski (Manly Warringah Sea Eagles)

Brian Kelly (Manly Warringah Sea Eagles)

Luke Metcalf (Manly Warringah Sea Eagles)

Curtis Scott (Melbourne Storm)

Brock Lamb (Newcastle Knights)

Daniel Saifiti (Newcastle Knights)

Connor Watson (Newcastle Knights)

Nathan Cleary (Penrith Panthers)

Dylan Edwards (Penrith Panthers)

Moses Leota (Penrith Panthers)

Bevan French (Parramatta Eels)

Tepai Moeroa (Parramatta Eels)

Mitchell Moses (Parramatta Eels)

Kyle Schneider (Parramatta Eels)

Jake Hazard (Sydney Roosters)

Latrell Mitchell (Sydney Roosters)

Victor Radley (Sydney Roosters)

Angus Crichton (South Sydney Rabbitohs)

Tyrell Fuimaono (South Sydney Rabbitohs)

Campbell Graham (South Sydney Rabbitohs)

Cameron Murray (South Sydney Rabbitohs)

Matt Dufty (St George Illawarra Dragons)

Jai Field (St George Illawarra Dragons)

Zac Lomax (St George Illawarra Dragons)

Reece Robson (St George Illawarra Dragons)

Hame Sele (St George Illawarra Dragons)

Jacob Liddle (Wests Tigers)

Bayley Sironen (Wests Tigers)

Moses Suli (Wests Tigers)

Alex Twal (Wests Tigers)

If your last name is Haas, why would you call your kid 'Payne'? I guess you mightn't like him,

Beau Scott comes to training when he f**king wants.

Beau Scott can speak braille.

Beau Scott can do a wheelie on a unicycle.

Beau refers to himself in the fourth person.

Beau Scott doesn't have good aim. His bullets just know better than to miss.

When Beau Scott's daughter lost her virginity, he got it back.

Beau Scott doesn't play "hide-and-seek." He plays "hide-and-pray-I-don't-find-you."

Death once had a near-Beau-Scott experience.

If it looks like chicken, tastes like chicken, and feels like chicken but Beau Scott says its beef, then it's f**king beef.

Beau Scott puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".

Beau actually died four years ago, but the Grim Reaper can't get up the courage to tell him.

Beau Scott is the only man to ever defeat a brick wall in a game of tennis.

Beau Scott's tears cure cancer. Too bad he has never cried.

Beau Scott has a diary. It's called the Guinness Book of World Records.

Beau Scott can hit you so hard your blood will bleed.

Beau Scott sleeps with a pillow under his gun.

Beau Scott can drown a fish.

Beau Scott can unscramble an egg.

Beau Scott once went to a magic show. The magician asked for a volunteer for his disappearing act. Beau Scott raised his hand and the magician disappeared.
Big effort that, gronk. Deserved some recognition.

Tepai is the best second-rower we have produced since Nathan Hindmarsh.

Nathan Davis, Goodal,Lavaka also talked up on here.

For every 1st grader there are 10x talked up that amount to nothing.

So we have Stone,GL, Mahoney,Akafalou as the next bunch of hyped kids.

Be interesting if any make it.

Only as under 20s players. They didn't even play Junior Origin, and I don't remember seeing anyone talk them up as future NRL stars. The best they were hoping for is that they would become first graders. Don't forget most future first graders would be on full time contracts by the time they turn 20, like Tyrell Fuimaono.

Here's the Eels players who have played Junior Origin since its inception in 2012. It's fairly hit and miss:

Blair (NSW 2012)
Toutai (NSW 2013)
Tanginoa (NSW 2013)
Paulo (NSW 2013)
Folau (QLD 2014 and 18th man in 2013)
Pritchard (NSW 2014)
Matterson (NSW 2014)
Pauli (NSW 2014)
Twal (NSW 2015 and 2016)
Fuimaono (NSW 2015 and 2016)
Morris (QLD 2016)
Dargan (NSW 2017)
Stone (NSW 2017)

On top of that, these current Eels first graders were picked in Junior Origin teams as well:

Auva'a (QLD 2012)
Evans (NSW 2012)
Gutherson (NSW 2013 and 2014)
Jennings (NSW 2013)
Moses (NSW 2014)
