Origin can be very political. Jamie Buhrer played origin. It is not and shouldn't be a factor when it comes to what a player can bring to a club.

And i recall Tanginoa and Davis called the best juniors clubs had since Hindmarsh from guys on here.

Sure it isnt easy spotting talent. Id do a solid job but will get occasional one wrong.

Who on here said Davis was the best junior the club had produced since Hindy??

I know Kelepi did stand out in his first season and got some good wraps but hardly what you are dribbling about.

If we had been playing consistent finals footy we would have plenty of blokes in Origin. Especially for NSW, there's only about 5 or 6 players who are automatic selections. The other dozen or so positions are chosen from a pool of maybe 50 players who are all about as good as each other, so the ones who get picked are the ones whose teams play finals every year.

Penrith have produced loads of gunner's, the only one who they have produced that is half decent is RCG.

Right, and yet he has now played some first grade for two different clubs, and has an NRL contract for next year at least. I doubt he'll go on to play 100 NRL games but you never know.
