They reckon they might get 400k taken off their cap for salary cap indresctions. They had room for Pearce (about 800k) who they didn’t get. They have signed Thompson who I guess would be worth 350-400 give or take. That leaves about 400k if they get done for being over the cap

Clubs circle Eels' young gun

He’s yet to play in the NRL, but rival clubs are making big bids for Parramatta Toyota Cup prop Sean Keppie.

A former Australian Schoolboy, Keppie was superb for the Eels in the lower grades last season and good, young props are hard to come by.

The Eels haven’t lost him yet - but face a real battle retaining the Narellan junior beyond next year.
